From May 29 to June 1, ISOEN 2022, the International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Noses, will be held in Aveiro, Portugal. ISOEN is the world’s premiere technical conference in artificial chemoreception (olfaction and taste). ASIC, the Air Sensors International Conference, will take place in Pasadena, USA from May 11 to 13.
ASIC will bring together stakeholders from academia, government, communities, and commercial interests to promote and advance air pollution sensors, improve the data quality from these sensors, expand the pollutants measured, and foster community involvement in monitoring air quality.
Hosted by the University of California, Air Quality Research Center.

Prof. Schütze wird als Jury-Vorsitzender im Rahmen der Eröffnungsverstaltung von Messe und Kongress die Nominierungen für den AMA Innovationspreis 2022 inkl. des Sonderpreises "Junge Unternehmen" vorstellen und die Sieger kühren.
Prof. Schütze ist zudem Session Chair des Sessions "Messtechnik für Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit II" und "Prüf- und Sicherheitstechnik", jeweils am Mittwoch Nachmittag.
Im Umfeld unseres gemeinsam mit der Fachrichtung Physik getragenen Studiengangs Quantum Engineering startet derzeit ein neuer Ansatz, um Unternehmen sowie Forschung und Lehre zu vernetzen und den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs an dieses Zukunftstthema heranzuführen:

Gemeinsam mit den Kollegen aus der Quantenoptik, Prof. Eschner und Prof. Becher, beteiligen wir uns an dem vom BMBF im Rahmen der Quantentechnologien geförderten Projekt, das koordiniert wird durch die Hochschule Ruhr West mit dem dortigen HRW-FabLab koordiniert.
Im Mittelpunkt des Projekt stehen Quanten-Sensorsysteme, von denen erwartet wird, dass diese die Messtechnik und Sensorik zukünftig starkt beeinflussen werden. Wir bringen hier einerseits die Kontakte in die Sensorikindustrie, speziell durch unsere langjährige Mitarbeit im AMA Verband für Sensorik und Messtechnik, ein und andererseits unsere Erfahrungen im Schülerlabor SinnTec, in dem wir neue Technologien für die Öffentlichkeit und speziell für Schülerinnen und Schüler aufbereiten und zugänglich machen.
Das Projekt wird über 3 Jahre mit 2,5 Mio. € durch das BMBF in der Bekanntmachung
Quantum Future Education – Netzwerk interdisziplinärer Aus- und Weiterbildungskonzepte
